Metal Fabricator / Brake Set-Up & Operator

We are hiring an experienced Metal Fabricators to join our team.

This is a Permanent Full-Time production based position for our manufacturing facility. 

Our typical hours of operation are Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm. 

Position Description

We are currently looking for an ambitious Production Machine Operator to Set-Up and Operate Metal Fabrication CNC Brakes. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to learn to set-up and operate Punch Presses, CNC Benders, Spot Welders, and other metal fabrication machinery.

Any necessary training will be provided. The ideal candidate must have good communication skills, work well in a team, appreciate structure and have an aptitude for learning.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include

  • Metal Fabrication of a wide range of wire products through set-up and operation of Brakes.  
  • Consult and liaise with Supervisors, and/or Department Leaders regarding production schedules, quality concerns, and operational priorities 
  • Resolve quality and equipment issues
  • Maintain acceptable levels of production according to established standards
  • Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures while adhering to all company policies
  • Motivation to learn and develop an understanding of products and equipment operated
  • Willingness to work in various departments to support the production team and manage work load accordingly

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Effectively manage and track time for jobs while maintaining quality standards
  • Ability to perform physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Stamina with the ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure finished product meets all quality specifications required 
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to read measuring tape and caliper
  • Willingness to work overtime when required

Mesh Welder Setup and Operator 

We are looking to hire an Experienced Mesh Welder Setup and Operator. We aim to fill a Permanent Full-Time positions for our manufacturing facility. This position requires a strong communicator who is a self-motivated team player.

Our typical hours of operation are Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm. 

Position Description

The ideal candidate will have good communication skills, work well in a team, appreciate structure and have an aptitude for learning. 

The required skills for a Mesh Welder operator combines technical knowledge of resistence welding, mechanical aptitude for machine operation, and high asttention to detail for quality control.

As a Mesh Welder operator you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining mesh welder machinery utilized to manufacture wire mesh products.

Although experience is preferred in-house training will be provided for a candidate who demonstrates the mechanical appitude and technical comprehension of the principles of resistance welding. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include

  • Comprehension of resistance welding principles 
  • Knowledge of different wire gauges and types in order to adjust equipment settings accordingly 
  • Identify and trouble shoot common machine issues
  • Perform regular preventative maintence to ensure optimal machine performance 
  • Consult and liaise with Supervisors, and/or Department Leaders regarding production schedules, quality concerns, and operational priorities 
  • Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures while adhering to all company policies.
  • Recognize material needs and ensure raw material requirements are available to aid in minimizing production line down time
